Chapter 747 - 747 The situation turns against the Lionheart team

The bear was not weak physically, but its soul had not completely assimilated with the additional mana gained by the Mutated Amalgamation Of Dust trait.

The mana of the bear’s soul could use limited mana in each magic attack, and being of the earth element in a place with no earth provided more disadvantages.

Wolfie and Freerie had existed for some time while Bright, Helle, and Watz had gotten used to their life as a soul in Vincent’s Soul Domain. Adding the fact the five of them were empowered by Vincent’s authority over the mutation in his Soul Domain made the fight more advantageous for them.

In the end, the bear was overwhelmed and could not win.

No one in the audience noticed what happened to the bear internally. Well, only one person could, to a certain degree.

Mirey’s eyes focused on Vincent like a hawk. Her eyes then moved to the bear. The sight she had seen once during the fight between everyone and Vlad could be seen like a sun on a clear day.

Mirey could see soul essence rapidly leaking like smoke out of the bear. Yet it was a sight only people who could perceive souls could see.

“The soul is damaged, and the vessel is leaking life. ” Mirey murmured.

.....

The commentator noticed the bear had stopped resisting, and the tendrils stopped growing. It made him wonder if, after Vincent attacked, something they did not notice had happened.

The darkness caused by the eclipse started to fade, and the light of the sun reappear. This caused most of the audience to raise their gaze. It didn’t take long for them to see a speedy blurry dark figure descend.

Their eyes moved down, but the action was over. All they could see was a large statue of a bear bound by tendrils. Its head was broken, and its body cracked. If not for the tendrils, the statue of the bear would have split in half and fallen to the ground.

“L-ladies and gentlemen! The eclipse is over as the mysterious thing blocking the sun has descended accurately on the grizzly bear familiar.”

“Looks like the Dullahan race has reached a new peek of power.” Said Darwin while using inspection the cloud of dust.

“Can we know what that comment entails?” The commentator curiously requested.

“The eclipse we experienced was none other than Awa Lionheart spinning her body in the sky from what I observed. She used that incredible amount of momentum to deliver a deadly kick.” Darwin explained while secretly glancing at the representative of the five noble families.

The commentator rubbed his chin and wondered, “But a fall from such a height will surely break her bones...”

*Tsk* The representative clicked his tongue angrily. “They were lucky this time, but not a second time.”

Only Vincent, Kazumi, Awa, Plow, and Zero could understand the representative’s meaning.

However, they were focused on the fight and what was happening to recall how the mutated beasts could adapt and learn even if they were mindless undead.

A black orb with smoke rising from it could be seen. Two silhouettes, one of a person and another of a horse, appeared as the dust moved to enter the last remaining living bear.

Vincent jumped down and landed beside these two silhouettes. He focused his gaze on both, and their status windows appeared. His eyes blinked twice at the power both had.

[Third Eye activate.]

[Soul For All description.]

[When multiple separate beings born from the same soul become one complete soul while retaining their identities, depending on their affinity with one another, multiple souls can consent to fuse their souls into one complete identity temporally.]

[Multiple souls will temporally regain their vessels. Their base stats will be combined in their new temporary vessel.]

[The temporary vessels will not receive permanent injuries unless all the vessels receive an injury in the same location. This will, however, cause the individual vessel to consume mana to recover.]

.

[So this is why Awa became much stronger in that shadow form. Both their stats combined, and they are temporarily immortal until their mana lasts.]

Vincent nodded. “Both of you became stronger. Great. I will provide some support and leave that bear to the two of you.” He told Awa.

“Yes.” Awa glanced in the direction of her parents and continued, “I will make my family, my parents, my people in Valhalla, and my race proud.”

*Neigh* Night nodded.

On the Lionheart team seats, Amie heard Teresa complimenting her daughter. The praise made both Amie and Lamin proud of their daughter. This was a fight they knew they had to let their people know about Awa’s accomplishments.

Vincent whistled. He saw the tendrils emerge, but they appeared slower, in fewer numbers, and varied in size. There were more vines than tendrils.

*Tsk* Vincent clicked his tongue. “I think Zero has used up all the seeds I gave it. Zero can only help with the plant network. It spread underground now.”

Awa raised her head to look at the towering bear absorbing the last of the dust and becoming twice as powerful as it started.

“Night, and I can take care of it. We will not let any huge bear try to harm my family and me anymore.” Awa said before climbing on Night’s back.

“We will leave that thing to the two of you then.”

Vincent moved his gaze to a vine beside his feet, curling its tip as if to show Zero was attempting to attract Vincent’s attention to hear his next orders.

“Zero. Help Awa and Night to defeat the bear. Also, leave the tendril network as it is. I might whistle to request your assistance.” He instructed Zero to do.

The large tendril tunnel shaped like a snake faced the bear. It curled its head before rushing toward it.

The closer the tendril snake approached, the more the tendrils on its head separated until becoming a collection of tendrils. Each tendril then shot towards the bear.

Awa observed Zero attempting with difficulty to subdue the bear, but it was mostly futile. The reason was Zero did not have any more Limb Seeds to take advantage of. Thus, the severed tendrils did not regrow.

Furthermore, the bear was larger and had twenty-five percent more base stats than before. If Zero had Limb Seeds available, it needed to exert about twice the effort.

Awa patted Night’s head. She placed her hands on Night’s back before lifting her body and swiftly standing on Night’s back.

The audience did not know what Awa was about to do. She did not have any weapon in her hands, nor did she give the audience the indication of preparing for a big move.

Awa tapped on Night’s head. She grabbed Night’s shadow-like hair and pulled it, making many of the audience feel disturbed Awa was attacking her mount.

However, what happened next shocked all the audience. The more Awa pulled, the more Night’s head overextended. Night’s temporary head changed shape and turned into a long bow.

“Ladies and gentlemen! It appears the plant familiar has used all of its power, but that doesn’t mean we are short of surprises because what is in front of our eyes is unheard of...”

“No. More accurately, this is the first time anyone present here has seen a horse with a longbow as a head.” The commentator said, stoked to witness what Awa was going to do next.

Awa grabbed the bowstring with both hands. She placed her foot at the center of the long bow before drawing the bowstring. The more she pulled the bowstring, the more space for a unique projectile was.

Awa placed all her power into extending the bowstring to its maximum while using herself as the arrow. Awa caused her foot to slip, and a moment later, she was sent flying to the bear with immense speed.

Awa landed a mighty dropkick to the bear’s gut. The earth spikes, and any hardened fur broke from the impact. Additionally, the bear was forced to take a large step back from the force.

Lupa was struggling with her fight when her nose picked up a familiar and relaxing scent behind her. Her lips formed grim, and her will to fight was renewed.

Lupa turned around, and after catching a glimpse of Vincent, she could not see anymore.

“Wear this at all times. Okay? I heard you did a lot of blindfold training to fight even if your sight makes you feel dizzy.” Vincent requested while wrapping a white handkerchief around her eyes.

The two gladiators did not attack the defenseless Vincent and Lupa. Instead, they ignored the two opponents in front of them, glanced at each other, and nodded.

Both gladiators took out a potion and stared at it. They gave the impression of having second doubts. Regardless, they opened the top and gulped every last drop.

[Vincent... there is something wrong with their bodies. I do not know what they drank, but the mana is acting weird around them.]
