Chapter 1570 - The Reason for Point Deduction

Chapter 1570: The Reason for Point Deduction

The difference between this dungeon from the other dungeons was that you could ride your mount inside.

As such, the group of 20 players summoned their rarest mounts and Azure Sea Breeze suggested to take a group photo.

“After many years when we’re older or no longer play Dawn anymore, this moment will be something we treasure for the rest of our lives. I’ll show my kids and grandkids this photo and tell them about you guys and the amazing adventures we’ve been on.”

The sentiment was quite touching. Although Azure was immature at times, he was actually a very genuine and down to earth kind of guy.

“Kids? Grandkids? You need to find a girlfriend first. Where are you kids and grandkids going to come from?” Wandering began to mock him like he always did.

“Liu Jing Zhu, I’ll kill you!” Azure Sea Breeze yelled, almost falling off his mount.

“Alright, alright, let’s take the photo and start going to work,” Lu Li interrupted the two idiots. The fact that they were still friends after giving each other so much crap showed that they actually loved each other a lot.

They were stopped by some small mosnters not far from the entrance.

These monsters were actually quite strong, but after Blackwing’s Lair, no matter how strong they were, the team easily dealt with them.

Lu Li told everyone to drink the potion from Yek’Kinya. They had two each and each lasted 30 minutes, which meant that after an hour they would need more potions to be delivered

Lu Li had invested quite a lot into this dungeon.

Not so much the cost and the rare materials needed to craft the potions, but the time that it took.

Zul’Gurub was slightly easier than Blackwing’s Lair. The only thing that stopped the other major guilds from completing it was that they were unfamiliar with it. Once the other guilds took some time to figure out the tactics, the First Clear might easily be taken away from Ruling Sword.

The group of them swept through the dungeon like locusts and quickly reached the main dungeon area.

Whether it was to revive Hakkar or seal him away, the Trolls banded together and sent a small team of Priests to infiltrate this ancient city.

The tribes included the Vilebranch, Skullsplitter, Bloodscalp, Witherbark and Sandfuries. Each team of Priests was a powerful champion of the primal Gods – Bat, Panther, Tiger, Spider and Snake.

Players needed to defeat these Priests and their primary monsters.

The first area was the Bats; High Priestess Jeklik and her tribe were the first to face off against the players. The monsters here were grouped up with a Batrider leading four to six smaller Bats. It was a little difficult at first, but Lu Li quickly learnt their tendencies and abilities then adapted accordingly.

“Dream, Beard, you guys help out the Main Tank. Everyone else, focus the smaller bats first. Once the bats are finished, focus on the Batriders. When their HP reaches around 30% remember to stand back and let the Azure tank the damage.”

“Do you guys not see that it explodes upon death? Do you want to make our healers exhausted in the first stage?”

In reality, if they didn’t dodge the explosion damage, they wouldn’t wipe because of how good their equipment was.

However, Lu Li wanted to waste as little time here as possible because if someone died then everyone had to stop and take time out to revive and rebuff him.

“Hir’eek, grant me wings of vengeance!”

The female troll shrieked and transformed into a large bat.

Hir’eek was the Primal Bat God and the protector of the Vilebranch Tribe.

While transformed, she had bonus attack power as well as a silence and fear. Once the Main Tank was feared and the healers were silenced, there would be many casualties.

Since they didn’t know what was happening at first, they lost three players, two of which were melee classes. One of them was Water Fairy and Lu Li silently battle resurrected her.

“Boss, what about me?” Fat Monkey asked.

“Just keep lying there on the floor for. We don’t have that many revives.”

The only other person here was Hachi Chan the Druid. Since Revive could only be used once per battle, it had to be saved for someone important.

‘Why did you save Water Fairy then?” Fat Monkey was almost in tears.

“Because you’re not a hot chick,” Lu Li joked but Fat Monkey did not appreciate his sense of humor.

Besides these skills, High Priestess Jekilk could also summon. Waves and waves of bats began swarming towards them and before the team could retaliate, they had already been wiped.

“Why didn’t you guys use your crowd control skills?” Lu Li asked, after they revived.

“How am I supposed to crowd-control flying monsters?” Lonesome Flower protested, making up an excuse.

“This is a game. Who has ever said that you can’t crowd control flying monsters? Did you not see how low they were flying as well?”

Lu Li was disappointed in his teammates. He knew that they might be wiped once or twice on this Boss, but he didn’t realize that they would be wiped from the summoned bats, which could be easily killed with some area of effect skills.

The second time the bats came, the two Ice Mages used Frost Nova.

These bats were frozen in place and the classes with strong area of effect skills immediately cleaned them up. It was that easy!

“Liu Jin Zhu, Taunt!” Lu Li yelled.

Since the Main Tank was feared, the other secondary Tank was put to use.

“Lu Li, I’ve always thought of you as more of a serious person.” Wandering was furious.

“Why are you looking at me like that? All I did was call you by your real name; isn’t everyone else doing

the same? Besides, it was just a spur of the moment,” Lu Li defended himself, then whistled, “Okay, let’s move onto the next stage. Everyone, get ready.”

“You have to promise me something,” Wandering said, not allow him to change the subject.

“What?”

“Whoever yells my real name in the future will be deducted guild points. If anyone outside the guild calls me by my real name I’ll personally bring people to kill them. Otherwise, I quit.”

Wandering thought that it was about time to do something about this, he cannot continue risk his fame and reputation like this.

“Look, the Boss transformed! Everyone look!” Azure Sea Breeze yelled.

He purposely yelled loudly to stop Lu Li from promising Wandering. Yelling out his real name was the only surefire way to win an argument against Wandering.

Lu Li was sweating but ignored Wandering’s request and continued to tell his team to attack the Boss.

High Priestess Jeklik had already returned back to her human form.

She raised both of her arms and drawing green magical powers to channel a spell.

Lu Li reacted quickly and interrupted her cast. Based on the name of the skill it was likely a healing skill. Usually, the longer the channeling time, the more powerful the spell. In reality, if they allowed the Boss to heal herself, she would have regained 20% of her HP and all their efforts would be wasted.

Fortunately, it was easily interrupted.

High Priestess Jeklik could also use Fireball at this stage.

Her fireballs were different; they were more like exploding fireballs. Not only did they cause damage upon impact, but they also exploded upon impact, dealing fire damage to the surrounding enemies and creating a sea of fire.

The area of fire dealt massive amounts of damage over time. Most players cannot survive more than 2 or 3 seconds in it.

“Everyone, make sure you dodge that skill. I’ll deduct points for whoever burns to death,” Lu Li threatened.

“If you don’t promise me then I’ll burn to death.” Wandering was still mad.

“Alright, alright, whoever yells out Liu Jing Zhu again will be deducted points. Wandering, if you mention it one more time I’ll deduct your points.” Lu Li was sick of him complaining.

“Deduct two of your points first, including that time from before. You’ve already said it twice. Azure Sea Breeze as well – he was yelling it at the start of the dungeon.” Wandering was really pushing it.

“Shut up, how dare you say that, I’ll deduct yours if you don’t shut up.” Lu Li was furious.

“Then deduct Azure’s. I don’t care about yours,” Wandering said, quickly changing his mind.

“Fine, I’ll take off one point,” Lu Li sighed, deducting a point even though he didn’t really want to.

“You two are animals.”

Azure Sea Breeze was almost in tears as he was getting beat up by the Boss.
