Chapter 922: Why Did You Hit Jovan?
“Mr. Jovan, are you okay?”
Everyone ran up to Jovan and extended their hands to help him up.
Jovan was hit by Connor’s slap, feeling dizzy and his right cheek was swelling.
“You bastard, how dare you hit me? Let me tell you, you’re dead. I’m going to kill you!”
Jovan pointed at Connor and cursed fiercely.
Connor ignored him and instead walked towards him.
“What are you doing? What do you want?”
Jovan became visibly nervous when he saw Connor approaching, stuttering as he shouted at him.
“I told you to get lost, didn’t you hear me?”
Connor coldly said to Jovan.
“What’s your name? Tell me your name and I’ll leave now!”
Jovan wasn’t stupid. He knew that he and his group were no match for Connor alone.
If he continued to stay here, he would only get beaten up. So he planned to ask for Connor’s name, leave for now, and seek revenge on Connor when he had a chance in the future.
“Don’t…”
Lindsy worried that Connor would actually tell Jovan her name, which would make things even more complicated. So she instinctively shouted.
“I’m Connor!”
But before Lindsy could finish speaking, Connor calmly said his own name.
“Oh no!”
Lindsy’s eyes flashed with a hint of despair when she saw Connor telling Jovan his name.
“Connor?”
Jovan’s eyes showed a hint of familiarity upon hearing this name, but he couldn’t recall it immediately.
So he directly said to Connor, “Alright, I remember your name. You wait for me, this isn’t over between us, you wait!”
Connor glanced at Jovan indifferently without saying a word.
“I’ll make sure you die a horrible death!”
Jovan didn’t dare to stay longer, so he cursed angrily and ran towards the car with his people.
After everyone got into the car, they quickly disappeared from the entrance of Porthampton University.
“Mr. Jovan, what do you plan to do next?”
The man responsible for driving Jovan hesitated for a moment before quietly asking him.
“Shut up, you bunch of useless people! You can’t even handle such a small matter. What use do I have for all of you?”
Jovan stared with anger in his eyes and shouted.
“Mr. Jovan, as you just saw, that kid is not an ordinary person. He kicked Rammy away with just one kick. If he were an ordinary person, how could he have such great strength?”
The man explained quickly.
“He dared to hit me, and even made me leave in front of so many people. This matter is not over, I’m telling you, I, Jovan, have never suffered such a loss! ”
Jovan gritted his teeth and said in a low voice, “That kid just now, his name is Connor. Have any of you heard of him?”
“No…”
“Neither have I!”
Everyone shook their heads.
Jovan’s expression seemed even more puzzled when he saw everyone shaking their heads.
He furrowed his brows and murmured in a low voice, “Since none of you have heard of the name Connor, why do I feel like it sounds familiar?”
“I think I’ve heard it!”
Just at that moment, a boy sitting in the backseat of the car suddenly spoke up.
Jovan was taken aback and quickly turned his head to look at the man sitting behind him. He then whispered, “Where have you heard this name before? Who is Connor?”
“Mr. Jovan, last time in Sutton, Harold and the others mentioned this Connor to you. It seems like they had some conflicts with him,” the man hesitated and said.
“Yeah, that person Harold talked about was also named Connor!” Jovan exclaimed, then quickly took out his phone and dialed Harold’s number.
“Ring ring…”
After two rings, Harold answered the call, then smiled and said, “Jovan, what’s up?”
“I’m asking you, is that kid you asked me to deal with named Connor?” Jovan whispered.
“That’s right, his name is Connor, what’s the matter?” Harold replied.
“Is this Connor a student at Porthampton University?” Jovan continued to ask.
“Yes. Have you come to our school?” Harold’s tone seemed even more surprised.
“Alright, I got it!” Jovan felt extremely embarrassed about being slapped by Connor, so he didn’t want to continue the conversation with Harold and simply hung up the phone.
“Mr. Jovan, is it that person?” the young man behind Harold quickly asked.
“That’s right, it’s that kid!” Jovan gritted his teeth and nodded, then continued, “I never expected the world to be so small. Just now, Harold mentioned this kid to me, and I actually ran into him. Well, I’ll find an opportunity to settle the score with this Connor…”
“Mr. Jovan, how do you plan to deal with him?” the man in the backseat asked.
“This Connor seems to have some skills and seems to have some connection with the Phillips family, but I’m not sure about the specifics. Otherwise, Harold and the others wouldn’t have asked me to deal with him. But it doesn’t matter, after I investigate this kid’s true identity, I’ll deal with him,” Jovan said slowly.
…
On the other side, after Jovan’s people left, the expression on Lindsy’s friend Tamia’s face visibly relaxed.
She quickly walked up to Connor, Dominic, and the others, and with an excited tone, she said, “Thank you so much for what happened just now. If it weren’t for you, those people wouldn’t have let us off so easily!”
“We’re all classmates. We certainly wouldn’t just stand by and do nothing in the face of such a situation!” Dominic grinned.
“what’s your name?” Tamia hesitated for a moment and then softly asked Dominic.
“My name is Dominic, he is Connor, and this is Spencer!” Dominic quickly answered.
“Hello, I’m Tamia Wellman. Thanks to you guys just now. I didn’t expect you to be so capable…” Tamia said, looking at Connor with some intention, as she knew that Connor was the boy who was caught peeping at Lindsy on the playground.
“Lindsy, what are you still standing there for? Hurry up and come over to thank Connor and the others!” Tamia turned her head and shouted at Lindsy.
After hesitating for a moment, Lindsy walked directly to Connor and asked him in a low voice, “Why did you hit Jovan just now?”
Upon hearing her words, everyone froze.
