Chapter 310 310: Meeting Bob Again

[Bob\'s Inn and General Store]

Cole rolled his eyes, when you seek him, you never find him, when you don\'t seek him, you still never find him, but when you need him, that\'s when he shows up. Cole picked his way across the crowd of people until he opened the doors of the inn and went in.

The first thing he noticed was a bar/restaurant. It was a grand hall, massive with a a bar counter than ran from 1 end of the hall to the other. There were stairs on the side that led up to a second floor, and another door by the side that had the words general store on it that would lead to another building that quite frankly Cole had not noticed from the outside.

Heck the hall was 5 if not ten times larger than the building he had seen before he stepped in. How Bob was making it bigger on the inside while it was small on the outside was not something Cole had an answers to. This was some Harry potter level freakish magic…. which was good though, he wondered how he could get something like that too.

Knowing or at least having an idea of how these things usually worked, Cole made his way to the counter where a four armed red skinned  orc was busy mixing drinks. Cole raised an eyebrow as he looked at the being in front of him, who in turn chose to ignore him before Cole sighed and asked.

"New look?"

"I always have something new on Cole, it\'s a caveat of my existence. You can never perceive my true nature, to gaze upon it would be to die, both in body, mind, soul and spirit. So every time you see me I\'m always a different race or person, or rather I\'m still the same person.

People never get have the problem of recognizing me. And if you have seen me enough times that you would have to see me be another race twice, then it means your mind will start to unravel as you have gotten closer to piercing my divine veil. But I doubt that\'s why you are here Cole… what do you want, I have a business to run." Cole shrugged in response.

"Well I am in need of a drink, so gimme something good. And next would be information, I tell you what I want and you can name your prize, see if I can match it." Bob raised an eyebrow at that before nodding his head then turning to the absolutely colossal shelf of alcohol behind him, and began to mix drinks as Cole watched him fascinated.

A few minutes later he stopped as he placed a glass in front of Cole, then dropped two ice cubes into it, and then  a vial of purple liquid that turned the red drink a sparkling blue. Cole could feel the sheer wave of energy pouring out of it, to him it would have been no different from drinking a bomb, not a grenade, but an honest to god bomb.

"I Call that one Starlight Sapphire. You have got to turn it down in one shot though, or you will miss out it\'s effect. Also it\'s a ten million gold for information on the location of the other ascendants and other gold rank beast of significant strength. Another ten million for blueprints to the volcano and how to access the Dragon\'s hoard without him being none the wiser, and 50 million gold to find a weapon or secret that can bring the dragon down. And the drink is 200 Million gold so bottoms up."

Cole\'s eyes widened in shock as he heard the prices being thrown in his face, much more worse was the fact that he was already in the process of turning the entire glass of alcohol down his throat. The entirety of his monetary assets right now was roughly ten million gold, but that was only enough for a single information, and how in the hell was the alcohol more expensive than everything else.

[Starlight Sapphire Ingested! +5000 To All Stats! +5000 To Energy! +5000 To Negative Energy!]

"What the fuck is this thing!" it was not the notification that shocked him the most, it was the trip, the intoxication. Cole has never had alcohol like this, he was buzzed the very moment it all went down his throat, and it was quite a good feeling.

"You don\'t have to worry, I know you can afford it. Should cost you no more than two Gold prisms, those things are really expensive on this world. I think an UN-named goes for a 150 million gold, it can be more depending on who you\'re selling it to.

Since you\'re a repeat customer I can take yours for 170, then we can deduct the price for the information from there. What do you say, seems fair doesn\'t it."

It might seem fair, but Cole could not help the feeling that Bob had one upped him. But ultimately it wasn\'t so bad, he chuckled as he pulled out two prisms from his inventory, he didn\'t need to sell three as he was not in need of anything at the moment.

"Very well then….lets get down to business." Bob said as Cole nodded at him with a smile and leaned on the counter, a happy but mischievous look in his eyes…..this would be fun.
