Chapter 154 I Became The Top Cultivator With My Harem Of Beauties Beside Me 27

Ru Cheng slowly ascended the Duoluo sect mountain and went straight to the Cloud peak. Although it was late, he was certain his father would be in the great hall.

Ru Lianfeng was just rounding up a meeting with some elders when his son walked into the hall. He looked up with a small smile. "Cheng\'er."

Ru Cheng came to a stop in front of the platform and cupped his fists in front of him. "Father, elders."

"Ah, it\'s been too long, but, why are you back this soon?" Ru Lianfeng asked although his smile indicated he was glad at his son\'s presence.

Ru Cheng smiled. His father had good reason to ask. After all, him and his sister were supposed to be wandering the outside world in order to gain insight and experience. In fact, that was what had been happening until he three months ago -when he reincarnated.

One minute him and Mo Jiu were mutually stabbing themselves and the next minute, he opened his eyes in the Qiln mountains, where him and his sister had been discussing the Dao with a rogue cultivator.

It was a surreal experience. After he\'d gotten over the shock of rebirth, he left his sister behind with an offhanded excuse and rushed over to the sect. At this time, the resumption of war between the righteous and demon factions have not been triggered. Mo Jiu hadn\'t absorbed the inheritance and started his quest for unification.

And most importantly, Mo Jiu hadn\'t fully amassed his harem of exactly 3,725 people -males and females combined. A harem which he had been part of, a harem which he, Ru Cheng, had slowly killed off!

It wasn\'t his fault. It was theirs! Mo Jiu was his, why was he made to constantly share? If all they\'d done was share Mo Jiu equally then he would have been fairly satisfied and swallowed his anger but no.

With the large amount of members in Mo Jiu\'s harem, an entire sect had been dedicated to housing them. It was okay at first but as time went on, the competition for the attention of one man began. Some members were privileged enough to spend days -weeks even- with Mo Jiu whilst others were left to gather dust.

Everyone did their best to gain Mo Jiu\'s attention and somehow, they all got it -everyone except one person. And that person was him, Ru Cheng. And because of what? Because he\'d suggested to top Mo Jiu.

Mo Jiu had blown a fuse and berated Ru Cheng fiercely. How could Ru Cheng remotely suggest the gifted son of fate to lay beneath another man? The very idea was absurd.

Ru Cheng had been hurt. What was wrong with his suggestion? Unlike the majority of males in Mo Jiu\'s harem, Ru Cheng wasn\'t small and delicate and feminine. He was handsome, as tall as Mo Jiu and also as muscular. He didn\'t feel it was wrong to desire to top Mo Jiu. After all Mo Jiu topped him all the time.

After that time, Mo Jiu had cast him away and he\'d been forced to watch as everyone else was happy with the man he loved. The man that was supposed to belong to him alone. Ru Cheng had snapped.

His obsession to monopolize Mo Jiu rose to an unprecedented level and he began sneaking into Mo Jiu\'s courtyard whenever the man was away to lay in the man\'s bed and cover himself in Mo Jiu\'s scent.

Soon even that wasn\'t enough and he began to develop even more twisted and creative ways to delude himself. That was until he discovered something in a secret compartment in Mo Jiu\'s bed.

A book.

A diary that had a cultivation technique on some of its pages. The book was quite old and as Ru Cheng flipped through its weathered pages, his eyes widened. He\'d seen all of the moves before. It was Mo Jiu\'s pattern of fighting and wielding spiritual energy.

He\'d always thought Mo Jiu\'s moves were in accordance with the righteous path.

It turned out that Mo Jiu\'s method of cultivation was an ancient evil cultivation technique. An evil cultivation technique that had the appearance of righteous cultivation. Long ago, the war had been between the righteous faction and the evil faction.

Due to the fact that the righteous faction had been winning, the evil cultivators had come up with this technique to mask themselves and infiltrate the righteous faction.

The determining point of an evil cultivator was the absence of a spiritual root. The technique forged a fake root in the evil cultivators and that was how they were able to succeed. It took thousands of years before the technique was unmasked and the righteous side won the war.

That was why there were few evil cultivators today. In fact, the ones available were too weak to be of any threat and that was why they were hardly mentioned.

After the righteous faction won the war, every book containing the evil technique had been destroyed. Apparently, they weren\'t thorough because somebody had managed to incorporate the technique into their diary.

Ru Cheng\'s mind had drifted to the story of when Mo Jiu had been taken in by elder Mo. The child had no spirit root then but all of a sudden, a spirit root was detected two years later. This meant that Mo Jiu must have stumbled upon the diary at that point in time.

As he flipped through the diary slash cultivation manual, Ru Cheng found a technique that intrigued him. It was a formation. A large scale formation that slowly absorbed the essence of cultivators.

Ru Cheng had copied it down. Whether Mo Jiu was practicing an evil cultivation method or not, it did not dampen his desire to monopolize the man one bit.

Slowly, Mo Jiu\'s harem members had begun to die off. Even when his sister died, Ru Cheng did not care. She could only blame herself for being one of the love interests of the man he wanted all for himself.

When 3,725 people dwindled to 850, Mo Jiu finally noticed and began looking into the issue. In his panic, Ru Cheng had sped up the formation and killed off the rest in one day. Too bad he\'d been caught by Mo Jiu right after.

With no other option, Ru Cheng had absorbed the essence and the influx of evil miasma had given him enough power to fight on equal footing with Mo Jiu. It was quite unfortunate that they\'d ended up killing each other.

Ru Cheng snapped out of his thoughts and focused on the present. "I had spent my childhood wandering and pondering over the Dao of heaven. I think my return has been long overdue."

"Haha!" The sect master burst our laughing. "I had tried every means to convince you and your sister to return but you both remained adamant. Now you show up without me trying. Good, good."

One of the elders smiled. "The young ones are like this. Always so fickle." The other elders just smiled.

The next day, Ru Cheng gingerly rode over to the Converging peak. He could barely contain his excitement. He headed towards Mo Jiu\'s courtyard. Although they had nothing yet in this lifetime, he couldn\'t wait to see his man and reassure himself.

Who cares if they\'d killed each other before? It was just a small accident. As long as Mo Jiu didn\'t keep a harem this time, everything would be good and they could both be happy together.

Ru Cheng ran into Mo Jiu on the way. The man was storming out of his daxiong\'s courtyard with a huge frown on his face. He looked so much younger than he was when they\'d died. Although high level cultivators aged extremely slow, there was a strong sense of maturity that Mo Jiu had in their past life that was missing now.

Mo Jiu still looked as handsome as ever regardless and the part where Mo Jiu had pierced Huoyan through in Ru Cheng\'s chest beat with excitement and barely contained happiness.

Mo Jiu looked ahead and was met with an unfamiliar face, his frown increased. "Who are you?"

There was no sense of interest in Mo Jiu\'s eyes. Ru Cheng was well aware that he wasn\'t Mo Jiu\'s usual type -and had only been added to the harem because the sect master had entrusted him and his sister to Mo Jiu- but the lack of interest angered him a little.

"Are you deaf?" Mo Jiu asked with impatience etched on his face. He didn\'t have time for this. Right now he was angry and itching to beat someone up -preferrably that bastard daxiong of his.

Ru Cheng pushed down the dissatisfaction in his heart. What did it matter if Mo Jiu did not recognize him now? The man would be his in the end anyways. "I\'m Ru Cheng, here to pay respects to elder Mo."

Mo Jiu raised a brow at that. This was the sect master\'s son? "My master is unavailable for an extended period of time."

Ru Cheng nodded and turned to leave. He\'d gotten what he came for. If he remained in the same environment as Mo Jiu, there was no telling what he would do.

Mo Jiu stared after Ru Cheng for a while more before leaving. He had no idea where Mo Sheng had disappeared to. That daxiong of his had a lot of explaining to do but for now...

He walked over to his courtyard where Xing Mei was waiting.

Meanwhile,

ZZZZZZ!

"FUCK!" He Yuan screamed when the tenth bolt of lightening struck his body. He was beginning to wonder if the Back mountain was a truly training site or a burial ground.

He kept on cultivating through the extreme conditions of the Back mountain, being none the wiser about the recent happenings on the other side of the sect.
