Chapter 249 - The World of Cultivation Was Shocked and Furious

Chapter 249: The World of Cultivation Was Shocked and Furious

Only those at the Celestial Realm would be able to abduct his father without a trace.

There was no doubt that it was a scheme against him.

That was because his father was but a cultivator of Deity level. While such a cultivator would be considered quite a formidable fighter, that level was worthless to those at the Celestial Realm.

They were, after all, people who saw even those at Invincible Vajra Level that way.

Such was the huge difference in power brought about by the level differences.

There was only one reason why someone at the Celestial Realm bothered making a move against his father.

That reason was none other than Lu Xuan himself.

The killing intent bursting all over him at the moment was about to lose control at that thought.

His greatest regret back in his past life was seeing his parents die too early. As such, he vowed to give his parents a good life and protect them with all he had in this current life.

Whoever did that had truly gone overboard and made him snap.

He vowed to make any who dared to test his limit in such a manner know suffering like none other.

He would never let someone who did so get away with what they had done, even if he had to go to the ends of the earth to hunt them down.

However, Lu Xuan did not take long to regain his composure, pulling back the terrifying killing intent, which was about to explode.

“Do you need any assistance from us?” the Dragon took a look at Lu Xuan and asked.

“No need for that. The one who did it was probably a Celestial, and you guys won’t be able to do much,” Lu Xuan replied.

The Dragon shut up right there and then.

There was no way he would not have known that the Special Task Force was able to do little about battles fought between beings of such level.

Count Dracula alone had thrown the entire organization into a mess single-handedly, and things would have still been the same with another of such a level.

The only thing that bothered him was not knowing who that particular Celestial was. That Celestial actually dared to make a move against a family member of Lu Xuan, who was the talk of the whole wide world at the moment.

Lu Xuan was not the only one who was furious at the moment, as the Dragon shared the same sentiment as well. Everyone knew that Lu Xuan was the head consultant of the Special Task Force. He was someone who was deemed the chief’s equal.

That meant that Lu Xuan’s family members were under the Special Task Force’s special protection.

As such, making a move against Lu Xuan’s family was seen to be a slight against the Special Task Force.

Lu Xuan performed a hand seal and was able to roughly sense his father’s whereabouts. Every single notable figure in the Yunxuan Villa had a mark that he placed on them in secret so that he would be able to track them down in dire moments.

However, he was unable to continue probing before his senses were cut off almost immediately; it was as if something was actively interfering with his effort.

Lu Xuan’s expression had gotten even uglier by then.

A message came to his phone before long; it was from an unknown sender.

“Dear Sir Lu Xuan, please come to X point at Wuyi Mountain at noon the day after tomorrow. Bring the Dark Bible in exchange for your father. Show up alone, or your father’s safety will no longer be guaranteed.”

Lu Xuan found the message to still sound rather polite, yet every line was filled with threats.

He only breathed a sigh of relief then. Regardless of what happened, he knew that the abductor had specific goals, which meant that his father was safe for the time being.

He deemed that everything was okay so long as his father remained safe.

“Alright. Very good indeed. You really are some *sshole who doesn’t know your place. I don’t care who’s behind you. I swear I’ll make you people pay with your blood.”

Lu Xuan smirked.

The Dragon read the message, feeling rather shocked that it was all done to get the Dark Bible.

The Special Task Force had some thoughts regarding the Dark Bible as well, but given that Lu Xuan had no intention of handing it over, they thought it pointless to say anything. They knew all too well about not being able to force Lu Xuan into doing what they wanted.

Furthermore, the way they saw it, anyone would be reluctant to part with a treasured piece like the Dark Bible, especially having no idea that the book was actually deemed worthless and dispensable to Lu Xuan.

Lu Xuan made his decision to leave the Special Task Force and return to the villa right there and then.

The atmosphere in Yunxuan Villa reeked of sorrow and unease at the moment.

The abduction of Lu Tianxiang was a crushing blow to the people of the villa.

“Well, Xuan, I guess you know what happened to your dad. What should we do now?” Liu Wanrong asked with a dreadful look. A tinge of panic was seen in her eyes. But then again, her gaze was still determined, and she managed to steel herself.

In truth, compared to Lu Xuan, who was always away from the villa, Liu Wanrong was actually the one seen to be the core figure holding the fort.

“No worries. I’ll get dad home. Those people are only after the Dark Bible. Dad will be fine.”

Lu Xuan flashed a beaming smile, trying to play it easy as best as he was able to, as to put his family at ease.

Both Lu Shanshan and Lu Guoguo were worried, but they were relieved, seeing how easygoing their big brother remained.

The news of Lu Xuan’s father being abducted somehow managed to leak to other cultivators out there.

The entire world of cultivation was shocked in no time.

Lu Xuan had just achieved worldwide fame for killing Count Dracula, and someone actually dared to make a move against him now. It must have been someone who entirely unafraid of death.

Any suspicious cultivation forces throughout the world were listed out, yet no one was able to figure out just what kind of a force would actually dare to pull such an attempt.

So there is yet another lunatic out there, eh?

Everyone was able to imagine just how furious Lu Xuan was.

In comparison, the Yunxuan Villa, which seemed to be doing nothing at the moment, looked somewhat eerie.

Lu Xuan was outside the villa three days later.

There were many scouts and spies surrounding the villa’s location. They detected Lu Xuan’s presence right away.

“Lu Xuan is making a move, most probably to meet the ones who kidnapped his father.”

Those scouts and spies realized that right away.

However, none of them were unable to get far tracking him, for Lu Xuan was simply moving too quickly for them to follow.

The man traveled through the mountain region as if he was moving on flatland, disappearing outside of their range of perception before long.

Those people had no choice but to give up the pursuit. They all speculated as much, to begin with. If a Celestial were someone whom they could track so easily, that Celestial would not have been a Celestial in the first place.

Lu Xuan came to the spot designated as the meeting place at Wuyi Mountain in a matter of hours.

Trees were everywhere, but that part of the woods was the only region that felt incredibly stifling. There were utterly no signs of life found. There was not even a single chirp or buzz from birds and bugs.

It was as if all of those animals were so scared of some ferocious beast in there that none dared to even come near.

“Well, here I am. Come out already. There is no point in hiding any longer, isn’t it?” Lu Xuan said right away.

“You are indeed perceptive, Mr. Lu.”

A figure was seen walking out of the shadows, and that figure sounded pleasant.
