Chapter 128 - Lizard Or Loki Variant? (JK)

Red Bane was a luxurious durable ship meant to endure hardship but if this continued then it might sink to the bottom of the sea. Whatever that thing was under the sea it was equivalent to a destroyer meant to kill and wreak havoc on its victims.

Ji Yao had to think of something fast otherwise things wouldn\'t end well. The ship stabilised a little after another attack. His sword which he should probably name by now came flying to his side after escaping from its sheath under the rubble of what was once a pristine bookshelf.

It stood alongside him vibrating with a high pitch noise as though begging to be let loose. It was like a dog begging to be unleashed so it could go after the mailman.

Ji Yao didn\'t hesitate either. He glanced over in Rui Fei\'s direction before swiftly looking away. They still had the outburst issue when he engaged his aether. This meant Rui Fei couldn\'t come.

His gaze shifted to Big Hei and Xunshi Zhe. In tacit understanding, they jumped into the water alongside Ji Yao. Rui Fei who hadn\'t expected Ji Yao to jump in rushed over to stop him but his uncle held him back. This was the advantage of having Huishe Yue around. He could keep this impulsive cub in check.

Ji Yao dove into the water but they couldn\'t see anything. It was pitch black under the water like they had dove into the dark abyss surrounded by disturbing air. An eerie silence filled the water as though everything in it was dead.

Something sinister and ominous lingered in the air but one could not see it with their eyes. It was only after engaging their aether that they felt its presence. A loud hissing sound was heard as a whip-like motion swept towards Ji Yao.

Too bad the person it was dealing with was in no way ordinary. Ji Yao activated his aether and his sword was engulfed in an infinite flame that couldn\'t be quenched by ordinary water. He swung it forming an arc slashing at the creature that was approaching.

The thing hissed and retreated into the darkest depths. Ji Yao summoned his sword and as soon as his hand gripped the hilt the sword extended into a whip engulfed in flames.

The Qilin bloodline awakened alongside the Raiju. The lightning elements surrounded the flames creating a majestic light underwater.

The creature that was once using the darkness as its shield was brought to light. It was like a giant frilled neck lizard with a mouth full of sharp canines. Its eyes were of a bright red-orange colour like burning ember. Each claw on its gigantic limbs was larger than Ji Yao.

The scariest part was the slithering snakes on its back. It was as though it was carrying fierce parasitic worms but this relationship could be better described as symbiotic. Its body was covered in scales like armour that were hard to cut through. Its elbow joints had pieces of sharp bone protruding from under its skin upgrading its ugliness to a whole new level.

It whipped its tail as it retreated into the shadows with the serpents on its back hissing in an intimidating manner. This is when everyone knew that this creature wasn\'t going to be easy to handle.

Xunshi Zhe summoned his battle axe and Big Hei prepared himself for a big fight. The three of them readied themselves as the creature advanced launching an attack. It seemed the creature had a vendetta against Ji Yao because it attacked him head-on while the others only had to deal with the snakeheads.

He cracked his whip like sword slashing through the skin that looked like armour made of strong material. Unfortunately under the Qilin fire, the strong skin was nothing.

It was slashed through clean leaving a laceration gushing with blood. The blood clouded the clear water like a fog creating a mystifying image as it flowed like steam. The creature hissed having suffered a double blow.

Xunshi Zhe had chopped off one of the heads of the snake striking at him while Big Hei went at one of them with his bare hands. Holding either side of the jaw of the serpent he pulled it apart despite it being almost twice his size.

This was a clear demonstration of the power of a half Nocru. The creature bellowed as it quickly retreated into the deepest part of the sea but it didn\'t go far because Ji Yao\'s whip-like sword wrapped around the neck of the creature with the flames and lightning sparks scorching through its skin.

While Ji Yao was playing tag of war with a weird looking beast, Rui Fei was dealing with a terrible internal battle. He could sense the Qilin under the water and that rage engraved in his bones exploded resulting in another outburst but this time it was much worse than before.

The massive amount of seraphic energy flowing through his aetherial veins was threatening to burst through as though he was approaching a moment of breakthrough. Several times he tried to jump off board the ship but his uncle had also engaged his aether and fend him off.

If he goes down there it will no longer be about killing the beast attacking the ship it would end up being a fight between deep-seated enemies influenced by their Nocru instincts.

Huishe Yue might be an experienced Nocru or an old fox as they say but he had to use everything he had against this immature cub that was going on a rampage. Maybe it\'s because he was getting too old or that his nephew was much more powerful than him?

Whatever the reason this kid was a pain in the ass especially when he decided to go full feral on him baring his fangs with a projection of his Huishe behind him. Huishe Yue didn\'t waste time pulling him down to the sea as he transformed into his true form.

In this form, he had the full advantage and yes he had pulled Rui Fei into the exact place that the kid wanted to be but if he transformed on the ship then Ji Yao would surely kill him. They had already caused enough damage as it is. Enough damage to earn him a strong intimidating glare.

The two caused a huge splash as they fell into the water leaving behind a dazed crew. Let\'s not even mention Rui Li and Rui Yewan. They had never seen their older brother like this in all the years they had been around him. When they were locked in the dungeons Rui Fei was furthest from everyone but he always tried to talk to them to help them endure the torment.

Occasionally he would cry especially when he had taken one of the trips upstairs which they didn\'t know where he was going. What they didn\'t realise was that those trips upstairs coincided with the death of one of their siblings.. He was being forced to watch them die one by one.
